James leading the way from team mate Eilo Beezley

Mention the “Stoop” and 2 things spring to mind, Santa Hats and Bogs. Sunday’s Stoop Fell Race did not disappoint as the quarry was packed with Fell Running’s future talent as the juniors joined in the muddy fun. James Duffy was 1^st Under 10 whilst Eilo Beesley had a good solid run to place 7^th boy, with team mate Alex Duffield only 10 seconds behind as 10^th Under 12. There were good runs from Calder Valley’s juniors in the various age groups including the Blacker clan of Billy, Beth and Molly, Lucas Greenwood, Patrick Casey, Olivia Sygle, Cherry Sygle, Tom Owen and Keir Taylor.  Merry Christmas from everyone at Calder Valley Fell Runners – here’s to another fantastic year on the fells in 2016.

To all our juniors and we hope you have a great christmas and that Santa Claus is good to you. We’ll back training on Tuesday January 12th 2016. Sorry at this stage we still can’t accept any new members but we hope that we might be able to offer membership in the near future.
