Amazing to see so many red and whites in the under 12s with 10 taking to the fells. Another 1st place for CVFR with James Duffy showing his class in 17mins 39secs. An ever improving William Hall was close on his heels in 2nd place and only 6secs separated them at the finish line. Another closely fought contest was between Joseph Hobbs in 6th place in 19mins 21secs and charging down to the finish to try and catch him was Alex Duffield only 4secs later in 7th place. Another 5 seconds back was Farrell Brown in 8th place. That was a great battle for club championship points lads. In 9th place and 2nd girl was the ever consistent Beth Blacker in a time of 20mins 51secs. 4th girl home and in 12th overall was Maya Brunt in 22mins 51secs beating team mate Joshua Holmes, who was 13th, by 2 secs. Working hard was Ruby McFie in 19th place in 24mins 20secs.

Daisy on her way to winning

In the under 14s it was great to see Daisy Holmes racing and taking 1st girl and 5th overall in a time of 24mins 59secs. Well done a great result. Unfortunately Lucas Greenwood got pushed over by another runner and couldn’t carry on with the race due to his injuries. Not very sportsman like at all!!!
